- Passport of foreigners must be valid more than 1 year.

Types of temporary residence cards for foreign investors in Vietnam
Based on the amount of capital investment, foreigners will be issued temporary residence cards with different durations.
In accordance with the latest regulations of the Immigration Law, there are 3 types of temporary residence cards for investment in Vietnam.
Temporary residence card for investment DT1
Issued to foreign investors in Vietnam and representatives of foreign organizations investing in Vietnam with a capital contribution value of VND 100 billion or more or investing in industries and areas with investment incentives decided by the Government.
Temporary residence card for investment DT2
Issued to foreign investors in Vietnam and representatives of foreign organizations investing in Vietnam with a capital contribution value from VND 50 billion to under VND 100 billion. Or investing in industries with investment incentives decided by the Government.
Temporary residence card for investment DT3
Issued to foreign investors in Vietnam and representatives of foreign organizations investing in Vietnam with a capital contribution value from VND 3 billion to under VND 50 billion.
Term of temporary residence card for foreign investors
Temporary residence card with symbol with Investment is valid not more than 5 years. The duration of the temporary residence card for investors and representatives of foreign organizations investing in Vietnam depends on type of card.
- Temporary residence card DT1 and temporary residence card DT2 are valid maximum 5 years.
- Temporary residence card DT3 is valid maximum 3 years.
Documents for making temporary residence card for foreign investors in Vietnam
- Original passport of foreign worker with at least 13 months validity.
- Online temporary residence registration certificate or issued by the local police according to regulations.
- 2 photos 2×3 cm.
- Business license of guaranteed company (notarized copy).
- Form NA6 application form for temporary residence card for foreigners (if the organization/agency is applying for Temporary Residence Card).
- Form NA7 Application for guarantee for temporary residence card for foreigners in Vietnam (if the individual applies for Temporary Residence Card by him/herself).
- VAT declaration for the last 3 months.
